Eucharistic Adoration

O God, you are my God, for you I long; for you my soul is thirsting. My body pines for you like a dry, weary land without water.

So I gaze on you in the sanctuary to see your strength and your glory.
~ Psalm 63

Eucharistic Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is available from 8:30am to 5:45pm every Thursday. We need at least 2 people to commit to stay with Our Lord every hour. If you are interested in participating, please click the following link to sign up, or call Marybeth in the parish office (541-342-1139) and give her your availability.

Since 1994, a rotating group of faithful, dedicated parishioners has continued to adore the Holy Eucharist around the clock, seven days a week. Unfortunately, this had to cease with pandemic; however, we would like to restore the perpetual adoration, but we need a large volunteer base to make it happen. Scheduled adorers sign up to share responsibility with one to two other individuals for one hour each week. Contact the Parish Office if you would like to sign up or for more information.

St Vincent de Paul Confraternity

When not suspended due to the pandemic:

St. Mary Conference of St. Vincent de Paul assists the larger organization, helping those in need by visiting them in their homes to offer assistance. The conference meets on the first and third Monday of each month in the Parish Center. Parishioner contributions to St. Mary’s in the white, St. Vincent de Paul offertory envelopes are the primary source of financial support for works of this parish organization.

Coffee & Donuts Sunday Hospitality

When not suspended due to the pandemic:

Each Sunday, after the 7:30, 9:00, and 11:00 am Masses, those who have attended Mass are invited to take an opportunity to enjoy fellowship and refreshments in the parish center. This ministry is a great way to get to know people in the parish, and is also a good way for children to learn how to serve others. School subsidy hours can be earned this way as well.

Note: Occasionally the Coffee & Donuts service is suspended in favor of meals offered for purchase by the Knights of Columbus or La Esperanza. Check the bulletin for the schedule.

Here is what’s required of those who volunteer in this ministry:

Volunteers for the Opening Shift (before Mass is over) will:

  • un-box the donuts and sort them onto serving trays
  • set out coffee cups, sugar, creamer, napkins
  • brew coffee and heat water for tea
  • plug in and turn on the warmers to keep coffee and water hot

Volunteers for the Serving Shift (after Mass) will:

  • sell the donuts
  • replenish the donuts, coffee and hot water
  • clean and tidy the tables and kitchen
  • run cups through the dishwasher. (The fun part!)
