Welcome Parents and Children to St. Mary’s Religious Education/Faith Formation program!

**New! **We now call our program Faith Formation as this describes our program goals. Although the faith development of a child is a journey shared between families and the parish community, we believe parents are the primary providers of their children’s Catholic faith.

St. Mary’s program provides weekly faith formation classes for children. Our family catechesis is for children and parents to grow in knowledge and practice of their Catholic faith.

**Faith Formation classes for students K – 6th grade begin Saturday, September 16th & runs through May 18th 2024, from 9-10AM **

Please save the date for a *required parent introductory meeting on Saturday, September 9, from 9:00 – 11:00 am.

Parent Meetings are held once monthly from 10:00 -1:00 am, after the children’s classes. Group activities are offered for the children during the parent meetings.

**To get started: **Please fill in paper registration forms at the Parish office.

We are looking forward to seeing you in September!

Because parents are their children’s primary educators of the Catholic faith, our program is designed to supplement with family catechesis. Our religious education program and catechism materials include:

    • Catechist-led instruction combined with family catechesis.
      • Saturday Morning Catechesis from 9:00 – 10:00 am, led by trained catechists.
      • Family Catechesis is in combination with Saturday Morning Catechesis, providing an opportunity for parents and children to grow together in knowledge and practice their Catholic faith.
    • Parent/Catechist Meetings.  St. Mary is committed to providing faith formation that nurtures the Catholic faith of parents and their children.  Our meetings are a time of prayer and discussion, providing communication between parents and catechists about what the children are learning in their faith formation classes and family catechesis.
    • Religious Education Materials:
      • Christ Our Life & Finding God  Grades 1-6
